The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
